Estimate. About 5% of the flock in the NW corner of the loop.

Adult. NW corner of the loop.

Second cycle. About the same size as the California Gulls in the group. Heavily streaked head darkest around eye. Did not lift bill out of scapulars or stand. Distinguished by solid dark mantle darker than CAGU/HEGU/RBGU present. Wing coverts brownish-gray, faintly mottled. Noticeable scapular crescent. Black wingtips lacking white spots.
