Yellow bill, yellow eye-ring, red in wings, no mask. Large white spots on underside of tail.

Continuing. Found at 9:30 am well off main trail. Alerted to presence by high-pitched call, not dissimilar to EAKI. Large kingbird (larger than EAKI), with jet black head and crest. Long bill (longer than EAKI) and dark eye. Bright white on underparts (suggestive of Cuban spp. caudifasciatus?). Dark gray above. Flight feathers and coverts edged in white. Could not see tail or primary extension. Showed orange crown when calling.
