Ongoing larger shorebirds with Yellow legs. Several were making the diagnostic call. Proper head to bill length ratios were noted on the non-calling individuals.

Flushed on the rocky spillway area of Wildlife Drive. Flight rattle was given upon flushing. Low pitched rattle compared to longspur species. Strong rising component to the notes and they seemed longer and slower than a Lapland longspur. More musical sounding. Also gave a sharp descending "Pthew". Black wing tips with white wing patches observed on take off.
