About that many were congregating on the lake toward sunset; too far away to identify to species---mostly ring-billed and a few herrings.

Saw 3 large grebes or loons from north side and were too far away to identify via scope due to fog and heat waves. I was not able to relocate when I got to Lieber's Point. I scanned that area several time to no avail.
