Very clear sightings of many Wood Ducks gathered with the Canada Geese on west bank of pond behind the school. Icy patches on the water, but, Wood Ducks present much to our surprise.

Seen very close on the grass abutting the parked car at the Sargent Memorial Library. Photos taken but no media option on "add data" to upload. A pair usually breeds here and did so this past summer. Bird seemed very habituated to cars and human presence. Gray rump, buffy brown auriculars, pale supercilium, brown eye line, warm brown crown but faded, could not get a good read on the tail to i.d. a fork. No breast notch. Chipping Sparrow sized.

Probably a SOSP, but, fleeting glance and could not identify.

Excellent, close-up sightings of Rusty Blackbirds, both sexes on the west pond in the grasses, small snags and on the trees on the banks of the west pond behind the school.
