Dark-eyed Junco x White-throated Sparrow (hybrid)

This bird was on top of a rock in Central Park on an overcast afternoon. Gray upper body and head with a bright white throat and white underside. Wings were reddish brown and it had a reddish brown stripe on the head. Brown tail and dark eyes. By chance, someone on an AMNH bird walk had spotted a similar-looking bird, perhaps the same individual, 4 days prior in the same area of the park and made a note of it on their blog. http://inwoodbirder.blogspot.com/2014/10/october-10-central-park-junco-x-white.html
