Large white egret, similar in size to two Great Blue Herons using same habitat. Straight, yellow-orange bill. Green lorals. All-black feet and legs. Two talked to each other with a short, grating squawk and open wings. Fishing along the shoreline south of Pelican Beach and perching on dead wood in the wetland south of Pelican Beach between the two Osprey nest platforms.

Likely the same bird Dan Sachse observed yesterday. Bold head pattern. Appearing to be a white morph, but with a tan wash on wide white supercilium. Bright white throat clearly outlined with black. Yellow supralorals. In thick hawthorne at Willow Creek campsite #9.
