counted these on flats in the old tern pad area north of 170th. Probably an undercount as there werer some quite a ways away. Typical winter plumage birds

Found by Missouri group earlier and by Barry Jones later. He was photographing it when I talked to him. I was able to see it well through the scope. Buffy tan on back with buffy across breast. White forehead and belly and flashed bright white underwings
