Comments:
Chris Dunford, Sami LaRocca, Joe Clemens, Pam Pappone, and Michelle Garcia traveled together in one vehicle as one of several vehicles of a Yolo Audubon field trip led by Kevin Guse. "Outer Point" here is defined as stretching from the RCA building to the Lighthouse. We birded the Lighthouse overlook and along the road to it from the parking lot (strong winds), then the Fish Docks area, Mendoza Ranch, Drake's Beach and Drake monument area, then back to the Fish Docks, and from the vehicle, along the roads in between. Clear sky, fresh to strong winds, temps in high 50s to low 70s F. Large herd of Elephant Seals was hauled out on the beach to the west of the Fish Docks (about 50 seals); also saw one Harbor Seal just off Drake's Beach and bull Elk in two herds (12 in one, 5 in the other) near the intersection of the main road with the road to Drake's Beach.
