Comments: I saw cooper hawk sized raptor with short tail with wide buteo like wings, no dark armpits, and white breast with light streaking and an eye line. Underwings had no dark perimeter, so i think it might be a juvenile. This bird was smaller than a Red-tailed Hawk and lacked the dark forward patagium that Red-tails have. There were over 6 faint thin black bars on its tail, which was short, both which eliminates coopers hawk as a possibility. The wing shape was also too broad and tail too short. It did not have the dark armpits or mustache of a prairie falcon. I am a hawk counter for bridger hawkwatch, and there were a few broadwings seen within a week of when I saw this bird. I do not have a photo, as I was out hunting, but had my binoculars with me. I got good looks at this bird.

Comments: Large number of yellowthroats , maybe fall out? All low in underbrush in thr willows around the river.

Comments: Possible fallout in this river bottom. Warblers were everywhere in the willows, easily responding to pishes.
