Comments: Flagged as rare. There were 4 foraging in the open water in Cell 2C and a 5th bird on the nearby shore. The 5th bird appeared to be injured; it hopped on one leg the entire time, and did not fly when I approached.

  37. shorebird sp.

    Number observed: 335

Comments: Flocks that 1) were too far to ID or 2) flushed before I could analyze them.

Comments: Flagged as rare. Continuing mega, still in the same spot where I found it on 9/8. It was feeding at close range in the shallow water, briefly making two forays offshore. It flew offshore a third time and i left the area before it returned. I checked the area again at 12:00 and 14:30 but did not see it either time. I presume it joined one of several large offshore LAGU feeding flocks.
