Comments:
Notable birds seen in Solano County while birding the Yolo County side. Met up with Gil Ewing and Sonia Santa Anna for part of the morning, following up on yesterday's reports of Indigo Bunting and Yellow-breasted Chat found by Michael Perrone, among other birds. Given that the creek is the county line at this point, I'm placing these birds in Solano County as they appeared to be more than half-way across, but I'm not sure what the definitive county line to use is.

Yellow-breasted Chat

Continuing bird(s) reported yesterday by Michael Perrone. On grassy "island" jutting out into Putah Creek from Solano County side just east of the rope swing and "stairs". While birding with Gil Ewing and Sonia Santa Anna, two birds popped up and one flew right and the other flew left. A little later I came back and saw a single bird which stayed still long enough to snap a few photos.

Indigo Bunting

Continuing bird reported yesterday by Michael Perrone. On grassy "island" jutting out into Putah Creek from Solano County side just east of the rope swing and "stairs". While birding with Gil Ewing and Sonia Santa Anna, Gil identified the bird as the Indigo Bunting while I was snapping photos. Although they were confident the bird was an Indigo Bunting I needed to check the photos when I got home as I didn't feel I'd gotten a definitive look at the time.
