First of season, seen very well in the open at less than 10 feet near end of service road. Faint dark eye line, pale eye arcs, subtle pale supercilium, yellow underparts brightest on undertail coverts, gray head, faint slightly darker streaking on breast and sides, grayish brown back, unmarked wings. Joseph Kurtz may have pictures. Took care to eliminate dull Cape May, hatch-year Mourning, Tennessee, and drab Blackpoll.
