Smaller in size than double-cresteds, no yellow gular patch; and seen by others. Likely the same one I discovered earlier in the year.

Saw one fly low over corn field with a medium-sized bird ( robin-sized) in its clutch with about 6 medium-sized birds in pursuit. They all flew to trees where I was unable to relocate them in area below the dam.
