    Comments: singing males at the power cut. Bright yellow forehead/crown, black and white face pattern, rusty colored marks on sides. bright white below. Nice life look.

    Comments: a pair, flying around together; stopped maybe 4 times and moved through. Mid to upper story. Very pinkish bright red male with darkish wings but reddish areas in the wings, especially shoulder area where there was almost a wing bar. Female was yellowish green with darker wings. I wrote them off as scarlet tanagers because they were in the area where I've seen a male scarlet tanager in years past. When I checked my bird book, I think they were summer tanagers because the male's wing color was definitely not jet black.
