6 males, 4 females. Has sporadically nested here since 2004. Last county nest record before that was 1918 I think. Best place to see them is from the observation platform at the Interpretive Center. You must use a spotting scope.

Adult. Gray above. Underparts paler gray. White cheeks. Black crown and nape. Seen from Least Tern sign. Underwings translucent white. Primary with a very thin black tip. Flight was more like a Least Tern than a Forster's Tern. Bill shorter than Forster's Tern and dark red. Black outer tail feather.

Large bill. Gray-brown head. Browner back. No eyering. Call was a whit like many
other empids. Only the third I have seen in spring. Zach Baer also saw one years ago. Seen at Winton Ave.
