Soaring and gliding not too high over river corridor, heading generally N. Large raptor with relatively long and broad wings somewhat rounded, held in M-shape similar to a gull in profile. Mostly light colored underwing with very dark patch in wrist area. White underparts, mostly dark brown upperparts. Head mostly white with dark brown broad stripe extending from beak through eye to side of neck. Unmistakable, seen by all.
