Had beautiful views of this bird at close range through the scope. White eye ring and white lores formed "spectacles". Head dark and gray-blue, contrasting slightly with more olivey back. Two wing bars. Yellow-green edging on wing feathers. Underside lighter. Was poking around ~15' up a cottonwood tree. Looking carefully along the branches.

Singing in the same spot as last year. Two tiny notes followed by a long, weak, insect-like buzz. Spent some time looking at these through the scope. Clear breast, white line on top of head, tiny dark dot near eye.

Heard at least two yellow warblers sing during survey, "sweet, sweet, I'm-so-sweet". I heard more yellow warblers up at sand creek ponds on the following day and got views of them.
