    Comments: Part of a widespread movement. Many with pale gray backs and complete dark hoods, others with only partial hoods. Many sitting on the water about 100 yards offshore.

    Comments: Continuing 1st cycle bird with long dark bill, bold white eye arcs on partial dark hood, dark slate-gray mantle, dark brown primaries.

    Comments: Continuing 1st cycle bird. Petite, long gull with fine bicolored bill and cream-and-coffee colored primaries contrasting with a medium-dark gray mantle. Large dark eye on small round head.

    Comments: Adult, with pink legs, gray mantle, black wing-tips but almost entirely frosty underwing. Dusky yellow eye, moderate smudging on head, particularly the nape, short yellow-green bill, rounded head.

    Comments: 30+ birds circling out over a feeding frenzy, giving shrill two-noted kree-ik calls. Several also perched among Caspian Terns, showing narrower, more orange bills with shaggy crests. Flying birds looked narrower winged than CATE, with a more gleaming whiteness to the back and less extensive black on the underside of the primaries.
