We hiked up from the campground to the divide. Partly cloudy and warm. Upland pinyon-juniper woodland with lots of yucca, bear grass, various oaks, manzanita, and other shrubs and bunchgrasses. Along the creek the ashes and cottonwoods are leafing out; sycamores are a little behind. Butterflies included Tiny Checkerspot, Sleepy Duskywing, Dainty Sulphur, Juniper Hairstreak, Great Purple Hairstreak.
