Chestnut-backed Chickadee

Published in NAB. Stayed two days. First for the OP, apparently, though by now (2017) this species is a very rare but regular stray out there, primarily to Drake's. This mirrors other species' march outwards: Wrentit, Bushtit, Spotted Towhee, Scrub-Jay, etc. It is possible that more over-arching patterns, such as neighborhoods or the establishment of the ranches as part of the birds' core ranges (take the RCA trees), or its possible chickadees are a discrete case, caused by the spread of rufescens to Marin.

Are you submitting a complete checklist of the birds you were able to identify?
