Thanks to a posting by Jeffery Sole who was present at the same time we were, we were able to add the Northern Saw Whet to our list! Another great prize was TWO Great Horned Owls, dueting and BOTH seen in flight. Crummy phone shot of silhouette of one to be posted.

Our second evening trying to hear this bird and we finally heard the owl make a few of the territorial "toot toot" calls from a little
deeper in the woods where the GHOWs were calling. Shortly after Tom observed a small FAT bird with a wide wing span fly near the entrance road that could very well have been the owl.
