well off the east beach on flats

one juvenile bird seen in flight from East Beach as the bird flew parallel to and quite close to the bridge. Large size, dark coloration, distinctive long pointed bill. Could not see white on rump that would make it a juvenile Gannet. I would prefer to call this bird Northern Gannet/Brown Booby as not seeing the white rump at the distance we were observing it (even with a scope) does not rule out that it actually had a white rump. The bird distantly landed in the water in front of the bridge.
