1
Golden-crowned Sparrow

Likely the continuing bird found earlier this month. Seen south along the Rio Grande trail about half way to the pecan orchard in the brush close to the ag field. Large Zonotrichia sparrow- appeared to be an immature because the yellow forehead was barely noticeable unless viewed straight/head on. Lacked the dark eye line and prominent black crown border of an adult.

1
Harris's Sparrow

Likely one of the continuing birds found earlier this month. Seen foraging on the ground with WCSPs south along the Rio Grande trail just before the pecan orchard. Large Zonotrichia sparrow- larger than WCSP by direct comparison. Pink bill with black face, throat and bib make this bird an adult.
