Multiple groups of birds seen , One of the impounds contained over 140 swans, mostly trumpeter, calling, although a few smaller Tundra were seen and heard. It was near dusk so difficult to observe the bills

3 large shorebirds seen together with long upturned bicolored bill-red orange near face, black to tip. Black tail, grayish color with buffy breast. Dark underwings observed on 2 of the birds in flight. Birds are in a restricted area of the refuge, not open to the public.Birds looked like the HUGO I saw at Mosquito Lake 2 weeks ago and not like the Marbled Godwits seen in September in California.
