Was quickly seen with second scan with binocs- then fine tuned with scope, the Pacific Loon size contrasted with the a few of the Horned Grebes about twice the size) nearby, a few Ring-billed Gulls (noticibly smaller), and was with 5 nearby Common Loon, 2 were very close to the 1/3 smaller PALO, Rounded grayish head, bill shorter and more pointed than the COLO, crisper white border on the neck. White throat and molar area but gray below eye. No white seen around eye. A little gray extending below ear area breaking the crispy neck border. Was seen just a little west of the parking area out about 3 football fields.
