    Comments: Adult female. With 2 lesser scaup for direct comparison. Flat-topped head, very broad bill with large nail. Noticeably larger.

    Comments: Seen distantly on the central western shore, but distinctly in good light. Robust, short-legged peep with long drooping bill. Very dull, gray-brown plumage, with white belly. Deliberate feeding movements just off shore.
