Virginia Rail

Hiding deep in the phragmites opposite Wellhouse. Reported as a small rail yesterday by Kathy Toomey. Small size and dark brown coloration rule out Clapper and King Rails. Long curved bill rules out Sora and rarer small rails. Unable to get a photo through the reeds. Uncommon and somewhat late, I think.
