Two small loons flying over head, relatively small feet projecting past body, small head, thin bills. Vocalization heard well, a strangled elk-like bugled wail "auuourro".

Amazing record! Only my 2nd in town record. Flew up into bogwalk area, first detected by it's rattle-snarl call, which it did twice along with numerous whistled chuck notes. Largeish woodpecker, about the size of a HAWO, completely black back, barring on sides, white belly, black tail with white on outer edges.
