Walked to King Island early to try and avoid the early morning walkers and their dogs. Walked beyond King Island and the made my way back with the sun behind me. Was looking for the Reef Egret but ended up finding a Barn Owl on King Island.

A very surprising site in the mangroves, one owl on King Island it was flushed by the Brahminy Kite and the Crows. I was lucky enough to track it the end of the island where the Mangrove Honeyeaters had so kindly pointed it out. I have include photos and have video of it. It was very agitated by the crows and the Honeyeaters it started to bob its head up and down when they were there. Sorry about the quality of photos as I was taking them directly into the light. I am unable to load the video
