Comments: Medium sandpiper found in H Pool as directed. When we walked up to the opening to view the grassy spot, two Black-bellied Plovers were flying out of view with the Buff-breasted right behind them Thankfully, all three birds returned shortly and gave us reasonably close views. Fairly erect bird (though my posted pic doesn't really show erect posture observed while feeding) short bill, yellow legs, really nice scaled pattern on back and pale buffy wash on breast, small head with large dark eye.
