We stopped here to try for Mangrove Cuckoo, Yellow (Golden) Warbler, and Black-whiskered Vireo. We were successful in only one of those, but the looks we got made up for missing the other two.

We got ridiculously lucky with this bird. We had just started down the trail, and this individual flushed from the trail into the adjacent shrubs. We watched the cuckoo forage for probably 10 or 15 minutes, as it bounced between the center of the trail, the shrubs, and the mangroves. This is the best looks I have ever had at a cuckoo, and it was one of the highlights of everyone's day.

white egret sp.

I would guess Snowy with this one. Someone else thought Great. It was really far away and silhouetted in the sky, so we didn't have a great sense of scale or color.

crow sp.

We had a single crow that we called Fish at the time. However, as I am entering this and see that neither species is common or expected here, I am less sure.
