Comments:
Trip to CB/Q. Clear sky. Temp. 60-80 F. Wind NW 1-5 mph. Light movement in Great Plains last night (NEXRAD). Locally heavy movement over sc. Kansas and nc. Oklahoma. Small movement of UPSA this morning. Began with cattail area pre-dawn in Pools 1B, 2, and 5. Thousands of herons (GREG, CAEG), ibis, FRGU, and blackbirds moving about at dawn . . . an impressive sight. Shorebirds horribly back-lit. Three MAWR singing from Pool 3A, in same location Robbins and Bollin had them during May. Breeding? Migrants at campground incl. BAOR, LEFL, TRFL. Multiple YEWA flying S along dikes probably migrants from last night. Possible CASW. Highlights include NECO, BRPE. As leaving, E. Young and M. Thompson report LAGU.
