Trip to CB/Q. PC. Temp. 70-80 F. Wind NNW 5-10 mph. Overnight showers. Arrival of cold front ~0800. Significant movement associated with frontal arrival. Tringa sp., AMAV, FRGU, and others began dropping in as front hit. UPSA movement (32+) lasting ~1 hr, picked up at 0800, also right as front arrived; little movement beforehand (MDR). Most shorebirds in pools 4A, 4B. Extensive cattail in SW portion of Cheyenne Bottoms WA (Pools 1B, 2, 5) produced KIRA and LEBI (n=9). Majority of shorebirds, BLTE, -and FOTE were adult. Probable migrants along dikes incl. YEWA, BAOR, OROR. Highlights were CASW and NECO (n=5).
