Mourning Warbler

Early. Foraging in the shrubs bordering Azalea Pond. Bluish-gray on face and neck (no black like adult male) broken eye ring, all deep yellow underside, olive-brown back. Sang faintly, but the song was not uniform like a yellowthroat. Skulky and did not respond to pushing, which yellowthroats usually do. First fall sighting for me. Known to be regular later in August.
