In transit flight N-S but briefly paused and semi-circled at times to briefly investigate or feed?

1

I spotted a large shearwater in my scope at 7:57AM; it was in active transit flight moving N-S. It alternated between bouts of somewhat lethargic flapping and gliding on bowed wings, with a downcurved hand; the arcs were relatively low, with long wavelengths. Great Shearwater typically flies with more explosive/stiffer wingbeats, with the wings held straight out and steeper arcs.

5

Small group flowing low over the waves, towards the inlet.

2

Flying along shoreline. One had a federal band only, the other wore Project RedBand 44/C and a federal band. 44/C was banded as a nestling on Sedge Island (nest#2884) on July 12, 2014 and is presumed to be male.
