Seen well by both observers at 09:20. Large, dark brown, broad-winged, stocky bird with thick neck and bright white wing flashes at the base of the primaries above and below. Location 44.60159, -124.97855.

Found by Richard Dean and seen well by both observers and many tour participants. Medium-sized shearwater, nearly black above, sharp demarcation between dark hood and white face, with white wrapping around ear. White under-tail coverts and saddle bags.
