shrike sp.

Black wings & tail, black mask, gray back, white underparts, white outer tail feathers. Perched in sapling in field on Girdham Rd.; flew off to the sw before I could get my 'scope on it to determine species. Date strongly suggests Loggerhead Shrike. Other birding party photographed a sparrow impaled on a twig at the site.
