Locally very rare. 3 large adult swans flew north along the bay while we were walking the Marsh trail. They were flying low to the water at first, then gained altitude and continued north. They were first seen from a distance of about 150 metres. I assumed they were mute swans but when seen through binoculars, the bills were obviously all dark. The large size of the swans led us to believe strongly that they were trumpeters. 3 flying tundra swans at this time of year would be unlikely anyway. They made no vocalizations. Blake got distant photos that I'm sure he'll put on his list later.
