Brown Thrasher

slightly larger than mockingbird, rufous back with long tail and black streaks on white chest and pale iris; stayed on ground in very thick cover; I tried in vain to get a photograph but it stayed in shadows in thick vegetation; at first I thought it must have been a thrush (made most sense), but once I had better looks it was clearly a brown thrasher. Was under a shrub/tree inside the fort - the one with a large sign posted under the canopy and also a 3'x2' thick slab of concrete laying on top of some bricks.
