Size comparison was easy as it was in with Least Sandpipers(larger than) and Dowitchers(smaller than). Approximately 8 inches. Bill stout, longish droop tipped bill. Did not see the legs as it was feeding in water up to the belly. Was feeding with the same type of motion as the Long-billed Dowitchers.

Well defined rufous breast streaks. Crown and cheek patterned rufous and gray. Streaked back. Rufous tail. Whitish wing-bars. Photos are not that good as was shooting into the sun and there was some bracken in the way. Seen along the south side of the pond where the shorebirds were.
