Sawgrass Lake area was once contaminated by lead from lead buckshot. It has been cleaned. This is where Juan & Cecy saw their first Gadwall, and the Black-crowned night heron slept just a few feet from the boardwalk, and a Downy Woodpecker put on a long show within arms reach. A raccoon walked by.
