Not rare, just not sure which species. Seemed like Ancient, w/dark head and paler back, but too distant to be confident.

3 birds seen at once. Other individuals. Conservative count. 200 m past jetties. Small flappy darktop shearwater w/bright white undersides, but darker under tail (only observed a couple times, others presumed the same). Glides sometimes included turns and almost hovers, but most often very close to water surface.
