One with molt to basic just beginning and the other in full adult basic with green legs (not shown in NG guide), i.e., one with rich ruddy face to belly with crown and side neck dashed gray and the other with white supercilium and dark eyeline, gray back, white ventral side with breast spots creating lines, some short sparse gray commas along sides, black primaries on both extending slightly past tail, legs moderate length (relatively short compared to black-bellied plovers' nearby), bills are moderately long and a bit hefty for the size of shorebird. Waiting out the high tide on a log with smaller dunlins and larger black-bellied plovers.
