    Comments: Spectacled and wing-barred vireo with dark gray head; sides and flanks broadly washed w/ bright greenish-yellow, same crossing vent; secondary stack edged w/ bright greenish-yellow; bold white wings bars tinged w/same greenish-yellow; tertials dark w/ bold, broad white margins; underside of outer rectrices w/ obvious white borders; throat gleaming white w/ clean cut separation from dark gray head. Bold white spectacles contrast strongly w/ dark gray head. Silent. Overhead so never observed back. candidate for Blue-headed. Other observers: Susan Steele, Rob and Nancy Overholtz for both encounters; and Kelli Heindel Levinson for second encounter.
