Lifer: spinning on water. White crown continues down long neck. Dark brown down both sides of neck. Buffy on chest and front of neck. Some are more russet-females. Frenetic feeding on surface including spinning in circle with long narrow black beak. Brown back.

All dark bird with long down curved bill. Similar shape, movement and size to WHIB. Legs and bill appeared brownish. Did not see white on face. Flushed with a GREG and coots near road and flew to back of pond. Flushed again and flew to far pond. Observed for about a minute from distance.
