78 degrees F., sunny and breezy. Set up the scope in Gray's Cove on north side of reervoir., first about 50 yds from shoreline, then 5 yds from shore.

Two of the snow geese are blue-phase, 162 regular white snow geese.

When I first approached the shoreline, 2 coots got up and left the shore of the bay, on whirring fast wings. Later saw them in a small flock flying very fast, landing here & there on the reservoir and taking off again.
