    Comments: Vancouver RBA. Multiple observers and photographed. Spoon-bill Sandpiper was smaller than the Western Sandpipers it was associating with. The head and neck were a rufous red, the crown was dark brown. sides of the head lighter buff brown. Bill was flatend at the end, spatula shaped. Bill gave the appearance of being two toned in color, due to the shape of the bill reflecting that light differently. Legs dark brown in colour. Bird first seen at 1850 and last observed flying south out over the the adjacent mudflats at 1935 PDST.
