Came to pishing and whistled Screech Owl. Perched in top of small mesquite for 15-20 sec. Viewed with 8x binocs at range of 20 yds. Really surprised to see a single bird since Cedar Waxwings are normally in flocks. Warm brown plumage with crest, black face and yellow tipped tail. This bird was first year or adult, not immature.
