Purple Gallinule

Purple Gallinule - seen at SE end of S. tour loop. Approximately Coot size. First seen walking away from us in shadow so I thought it was a Moorhen but: 1) Undertail coverts were completely white 2)white stripe on sides of Moorhen was lacking on this bird, 3) Bill red with yellow tip but shield was a light blue 4) Brownish-green back and wings. Blueish purple head, neck and underparts. Also light yellowish green legs with long toes. Walking slowly along bank then skittered/flew to reeds further out in the water constantly flicking its tail. Didn''treally seem to be nervous about us nor was it terribly secretive. Just moved slowly away from us into the reeds. Watched for about 5-6 min. total.
